Synopsis

Tan Hadron is just a lowly padwar who joined the service of Tardos Mors, Jeddak of Helium, so he might wield his sword nearer to the side of John Carter, Warlord of Mars. After the beautiful, noble-born Sanoma Tora cruelly rejected Tan Hadron’s appeal of love due to his low rank and social standing, he might have left her to her fate when she was kidnapped. But Tan Hadron, though of poor means, is not just any man, for he sets out selflessly to pursue her abductors to the very ends of Barsoom. To achieve his goal, he must confront dangers as daunting as any faced by his revered Warlord, for the wicked Jeddak of Jahar and a madman with the ultimate superweapon stand in his way.
